Our October Fall Family Picnic

A Halloween Alternative

The members of Salem United Methodist Church are happy to be hosting what we’ve termed our annual “Fall Family Picnic” – a fun, family friendly event where we open our church up to the community with an indoor/outdoor picnic.

We’ll have food and games and give out candy.

We don’t encourage anyone to dress up, but don’t turn away those who do! This is wonderful event that’s held in a safe and secure environment and we have adult members of the church on-hand at all times.

Why a Fall Picnic for Families Instead of a Halloween Event?

We aren’t avoiding the issue of Halloween because this is one of the largest family-oriented events in our community.

Traditionally Halloween is where children in the public schools (and the public at large) are encouraged to go trick-or-treating.

We want take advantage of this opportunity to reach out to the many local families near our church and allow them to engage in a good Christian-based alternative for their family, if they so desire.

This event will be in a safe and supervised environment and we will have adult members of our church on the premises at all times, so we invite you to come by with your family and help us welcome in the fall season! For directions to the church go here.
